We mourn the lost souls of Milestone and everyone who got claimed by the fire while rescuing them. No amount of compensation or sympathy could ever heal the burning wounds of those who lost their children, their parents, their teachers, their school staff. The system, yet again, failed its people; the least they, or the news outlets and Bangladesh Air Force could do is be transparent about the number of casualties, their correct information, and facilitate burn centres as efficiently as possible. The trauma and fear this is causing to the average citizens of Bangladesh is unfathomable, let alone their families. What do we say to the families, and how do we say it? Speechless and beyond devastated.
