⌛️ ১৪০ বছর আগে, একটি নতুন পরিষেবা চালু হয় যা আমেরিকানদের তাদের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বার্তাগুলো আগের চেয়ে অনেক দ্রুত পাঠানোর সুযোগ করে দেয়!

স্পেশাল ডেলিভারি' (Special Delivery)-এর প্রতিশ্রুতি ছিল পরবর্তী নিয়মিত বিলির সময়ের জন্য অপেক্ষা না করে, পোস্ট অফিস থেকে সরাসরি প্রাপকের কাছে চিঠি তাৎক্ষণিকভাবে পৌঁছে দেওয়া।
এগুলো হলো এই পরিষেবার জন্য প্রকাশিত প্রথম পাঁচটি ডাকটিকিট ইউএস -5।

ডাকটিকিটগুলোর রানার (Running Messenger)-এর নকশাটি 'স্পেশাল ডেলিভারি' সেবার মূল চেতনাকে ধারণ করেছিল এবং এটি ছিল এই পরিষেবার এক নিখুঁত বিজ্ঞাপন। ডাকটিকিটের ছবিতে থাকা যুবকটির উদ্দেশ্য বুঝতে কারো ভুল হওয়ার উপায় নেই। সে হাতে একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ চিঠি নিয়ে দৌড়াচ্ছে দ্রুততম সময়ে সেটি পৌঁছে দেওয়ার জন্য! 🏃‍♂️‍➡️

Stamp 1: The Inner, Engraved-Style Stamp
American🇺🇲 Buffalo Forever Stamp

Design: The design is a modern adaptation of a classic stamp. It is based on the 4-cent Buffalo stamp from the Pan-American Exposition series of 1901. The original engraving was of a bison named Black Diamond, who lived at the Bronx Zoo.

Key Features:
Shows an engraved-style illustration of a bison.

Text reads "UNITED STATES POSTAGE" in an arch at the top.

The word "FOREVER" at the bottom indicates it is a Forever stamp, meaning it will always be valid for the current price of a one-ounce, first-class letter.

History:This modern version was first issued in 2001 and has been reprinted many times due to its popularity, making it one of the most recognizable definitive stamps.

Stamp 2: The Outer, Photographic Stamp

This is a new stamp design.

Name:Buffalo Forever Stamp
Design:This stamp features a modern, black-and-white photograph of an American bison standing in a grassy field.

Key Features:
A contemporary photographic approach, contrasting with the historical style of the other stamp.
It is also a Forever stamp.

Issue Year: The stamp is part of the U.S. Postal Service's 2024 new stamp releases. The number "2026" visible in the top right corner of the image appears to be an error or a placeholder, as the official release is scheduled for 2024.

Bottom line , the image cleverly contrasts a historic stamp design (reissued for modern use) with a brand-new photographic design, both celebrating the iconic American bison.

🧭 খুব কম অনুসন্ধানীই অ্যাডমিরাল রিচার্ড ই. বার্ডের মতো বিশ্বের দৃষ্টি আকর্ষণ করেছেন।
তিনি ছিলেন বিমানচালনা ও মেরু অনুসন্ধানের পথিকৃৎ।
১৯২৯ সালে তিনি প্রথম ব্যক্তি হিসেবে দক্ষিণ মেরুর উপর দিয়ে উড়ে ইতিহাস সৃষ্টি করেন।

🥶 সেই অভিযানে বার্ডকে -৬০º ফারেনহাইটের নিচে তাপমাত্রা ও প্রবল অ্যান্টার্কটিক বাতাসের মুখোমুখি হতে হয়েছিল।
তার সাহসী অভিযান আধুনিক মেরু গবেষণার ভিত্তি তৈরি করে এবং সারা বিশ্বের অসংখ্য অভিযাত্রীকে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে। 🗺️

১৯৬৯ সালে টোকিওতে অনুষ্ঠিত Universal Postal Congress এই দিনটিকে ঘোষণা করে ১৮৭৪ সালে Universal Postal Union (UPU) প্রতিষ্ঠার বার্ষিকী স্মরণে।
