Lock Your Heart with Allah on the Day of Arafah
On the 5th and 6th of June, from Asr to Maghrib, give yourself a sacred gift — lock yourself away from the world. Go to your room. Close the door. Leave your phone aside. It’s the Day of Arafah — a day unlike any other. A day when the heavens open wide and duas are accepted like rain falling upon dry land.
Pour out your heart to Allah. Speak to Him with no filter, no fear, no hesitation. Ask for anything and everything that is halal — even something as small as a shoelace. Ask with tears, with longing, with love.
Because on this day, you are not alone — but you are only with Allah.
You might think you have people. You might think you have support. But people come and go. Even the closest ones can disappear tomorrow. The only One who never leaves you is Allah. He is always there, always listening, always waiting for your voice to call out to Him.
So open your heart like never before. Beg, plead, whisper, cry. This is the greatest day for dua. A day when even the sky trembles with the beauty of what is being asked. A day when the angels bear witness to the words of desperate hearts.
Don’t waste it. Don’t wait. Start now. Even this moment counts.
And with your duas, recite this powerful dhikr — the one recited by every Prophet, every Messenger, every beloved of Allah:
“La ilaha illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa ‘ala kulli shay’in qadeer.”
There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and praise, and He is over all things capable.
Say it again and again — 20 times, 30 times, 100 times if you can. Say it on your tongue, whisper it in your heart, let it echo in your soul. Whether you’re on a bus, walking through the street, sitting in silence — let it be your breath. Everywhere, except the washroom, keep it alive in you.
These few hours on Arafah can change your life forever. The door is open now. Allah is listening now. And you don’t know if you’ll live to see the next Arafah.
So make the most of this moment.
Turn to Him — fully, humbly, lovingly.
Ask as if your life depends on it.
Because it truly does.
