Dear Readers,
It is the best of times, it is the worst of times. We are about to embark on an adventure of a lifetime, journeying halfway across the globe. That means coming to an interlude in the story we began 5 years ago.
By the grace of almighty Allah, I have been offered a fully funded graduate position in the University of New Brunswick, Canada. If all goes to plan, My husband and I will be moving to Fredericton, New Brunswick at the end of this month. That means, closing this beloved business we started together.
This business has never been just a money making venture for us. I have always been a reader, so I wanted to make good quality affordable books available for everyone. We have worked tirelessly to provide the best service possible. Not that we have been successful always. We made mistakes and tried to learn from them. Along the way, we have come across so many kind, wonderful people as our clients. I am sitting here, trying to shape my words into expressing how grateful we are for you guys, but words fail me today. Just know that, you guys mean the world to us and we love you.
As we are nearing the end of journey, we are clearing out our existing stock and in the process of taking our last ever preorder. If you were craving some books from Pick A Book, now is the time to order them.
Books shaped me as the person I am today. I think every reader has a dream of having their own bookstore. Pick A Book is my dream that came true. My husband is not a reader, but he worked equally hard for this business because he wanted to make my dream into reality. Pick A Book is our child and we are heartbroken to let go of it. But the only way to go is to go forward. And so, we say goodbye. Keep us in your prayers for our new journey ahead. Keep reading, keep dreaming.
