😭🤖🦄 AN END OF AN ERA — FAREWELL, UNICORN GUNDAM.
One of Odaiba, Tokyo’s most iconic landmarks is saying goodbye.
After nearly 9 years on display, the life-size RX-0 Unicorn Gundam Statue at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza will officially end its display on August 31, 2026.
Standing approximately 19.7 meters tall, the Unicorn Gundam has become more than just a giant Gundam statue—it has become a symbol of Odaiba and a must-see destination for Gundam and anime fans from around the world. 🇯🇵🤖
The final farewell also includes a special nighttime presentation, “UNICORN GUNDAM Statue – BEYOND POSSIBILITY –,” running from August 22 to August 31, 2026, giving fans one last chance to experience the statue in a special presentation before its display comes to an end.
And this one hits a little differently for me. 😔
I was fortunate enough to see the Unicorn Gundam in person back in 2019. I still remember looking up at this massive machine standing in Odaiba. At the time, I never imagined that years later I’d be saying goodbye to something that became such an iconic part of my Japan memories.
Some places become special because of what you see there.
Some become special because of what you felt while you were there.
For me, Odaiba will always have a little piece of that memory. ❤️
