Girl to girl,
Never let any manâwhether he is your father, brother, husband, or anyone elseâmake you believe that you are nothing without them, especially without their money.
This is not about greed, nor is it about proving that you don't need men. It is about dignity, confidence, and freedom.
You may earn thousands, or you may earn millions. The amount is irrelevant. What truly matters is having the ability to support yourself so that your confidence is never compromised by financial dependence.
Financial independence is the assurance that, if life takes an unexpected turn, you have the strength and the means to stand on your own.
I have always disliked asking others for money. That feeling taught me the value of working for my own goals and building a life where my choices are not limited by dependence on someone else's wallet.
This does not mean I wouldn't appreciate being cared for by my father, brother, or future husband. Their love, generosity, and support are gifts to be cherished. But love should be an expression of careânot a measure of your worth.
Accept the love. Accept the kindness. Accept the support.
But never allow anyone's generosity to become your only source of security, and never let anyone convince you that you are incapable without them.
A woman's greatest strength is not in how much she earns, but in knowing that she has the ability to stand on her own feet if she ever has to.
Be loved. Be cared for. But above all, be independent.
Because financial independence is not about prideâit is about preserving your dignity, protecting your choices, and living life on your own terms.
