56,500+ biogas plants installed in Bangladesh. How many are still lit today? Nobody could say for sure, until now.

A digester on the ground isn't the same as gas in the kitchen a year later. Our new national policy paper looks past installation counts to ask the real question: is the family still using it, still saving money, still safe?

The answer shapes how Bangladesh should fund clean energy going forward, pay for results, not just equipment.

Co-creation isn't a plan handed down. It's built at the table.

Spent a day at an uthan boithok with local leaders on a char in Gaibandha, listening to their vision and their ideas firsthand.

Every visit like this reminds us how much we still have to learn from the ground up.

On land that shifts with every flood, resilience can't be an afterthought. It has to be built in.

The Eco Char Project has launched in the chars of Gaibandha. Solar-powered resilience centres, early warning support, telemedicine, safe water, women-led enterprise, all working together to help communities in Fazlupur and Fulchhari adapt and rebuild.

Char communities are often only spoken about through vulnerability. This project starts somewhere else: they already have the strength to shape their own future. We're just helping build what that takes.

The launch is done. The field work starts now.

The story of Bangladesh's agriculture is still being written in the field, not in reports.

We started Cultivera to make sure the people writing it, smallholder farmers, producers, rural entrepreneurs, get infrastructure to back their work, not just goodwill.

Farmers grow. Buyers need supply. Finance needs delivery it can trust. We build the links between them.

Our website is live. Take a look: cultivera.net

If you're a farmer, financier, or organisation working on this, we'd like to hear from you.

From the first signature to the first flame, this is where it all started.

Project Green Flame brought biogas to rural households in Bangladesh, backed by City Bank and built on verified carbon credits. Eksathe Foundation helped families turn the byproduct into real income instead of waste.

This was Cultivera's first community investment project. Everything we've learned since started right here.
Grateful to everyone who backed it, from the first signature to the first flame.

A biodigester on the ground isn't the finish line. Still working a year later, that's the real win.

In Bogra and Rajshahi, we're not just counting installed plants. We're checking if they're still running at 6, 12, and 24 months, still safe, still saving families the cost and smoke of old cooking fuel.

Hardware is easy to count. A working asset is what actually changes a household.

"Now we can sell it easily and earn cash in hand."

In Dhontola, we linked women producers to real, committed buyers before anything else. The result: sales grew nearly 4x.

Waste only becomes income when someone builds the bridge to a buyer. That's the part often missing.

$2.4 billion in food rots before it reaches market. We asked 9,000 farmers why.

Cultivera spent time with farmer leaders from GUK's SWABOL programme in Gaibandha. They spoke about potatoes left to rot before they ever reached a buyer, and betel leaf sold for less than the cost of transporting it.

When we asked why cold storage wasn't already part of the answer, the response was honest. The savings aren't there to take that risk, and no one has shown them where to start.

We're exploring a solar-powered, community-owned cold storage model to change that. See where the work stands: cultivera.net/field-systems.html

We met an aratdar in Bogra who moves produce, manages buyers and suppliers, and keeps an entire agricultural market flowing. Real trade, real turnover, every single day.

Still it's hard for him to get financed. With no land and no conventional collateral, he simply doesn't fit the rigid credit model banks are used to.

He's not alone. Most small businesses in Bangladesh face the same wall. Despite CMSME financing being a national priority, 85.89% of local enterprises report a lack of access to working capital due to rigid collateral-first underwriting.

See the work we're doing to change that: https://cultivera.net/field-systems.html

Good produce. Real buyers waiting overseas. One missing piece stood in the way.

We met an exporter in Bogra this week. His produce was ready. His buyers were ready. What he couldn't get was affordable testing and certification, the paperwork that turns good produce into an export shipment.

Money isn't always the barrier. Sometimes it's the system around it.
