5 years ago I decided I did not want to let my creative side wilt when doing grown up things, stressing about all the possibilities that comes with adulting. Starting out in a work environment that did not suit my values, all the while growing a new skill and seeing potential in myself. I am an artist at heart and I will always make things-in flowering, collages or photographs at my own pace and terms. The decision to start a small business on the side has been one of the best I made this far, it made me stronger in many ways I can’t start to describe and I am so proud of what Studio Schik is becoming. I’m almost completely leaving the toxic side of floristry behind me while developing a signature style without putting a tremendous pressure on my path. I will grow, but most importantly, I will keep having a fun and stressless life as much as possible. I will not pressure an idea to grow, even if it takes years to sprout. So no big celebrations or give aways here, just a moment to stand still. Take this as my gentle reminder to not be a boss bitch sometimes but keep it steady. We are entering the last month of the fresh flower season of 2026 and I’m grateful of the opportunities I got this year. Thank you for that and see you on the flip side
