🍄 MUSHROOMING WICK? Here’s what it means.

Do you notice a mushroom-shaped carbon build-up forming on the top of your wick while your candle is burning? 🕯️

This is called mushrooming and can be a sign that your wick is oversized or the flame is receiving too much fuel.

🔍 Possible causes:
→ Wick may be too large for the vessel
→ Excessive fuel reaching the flame
→ Fragrance load can influence combustion
→ Certain additives may affect wick performance

🧵 Wick selection matters.

The right wick should work in balance with your wax, fragrance and vessel. Even a small change in your candle formula can affect how the wick burns.
