After a trip to the states Sven Aerts decided to put his dream of becoming a professional skateboarder aside and started, with a handful of Belgium Francs, his own shop. This shop was named Lockwood. In the mid nineties the Lockwood schoolyard was one of the most influential skate spots worldwide. The curbs, the tables, the bumps, the skaters and their choice of tricks and style was everything we
stood for and influenced us over the years. The shop name Lockwood pays tribute to this spot, the skaters and this era of time. The 18 year old skateshop Lockwood is known for it’s exclusive skateboard products like Girl, Chocolate, Huf, Nike SB, Vans, DQM, Fourstar and Skate Mental. Through the years the shop earned a lot of fame by supporting the skateboard scene, creating shop videos and having a great list of teamriders like the owner Sven Aerts, European Champion Phil Zwijsen, best new talent Jarne Verbruggen,... . In the beginning of May 2011 Lockwood moved for the fourth time to a new location.
