Festival season is coming… and while scrolling through these photos from our 2022 DiGiCo Prep Your Summer BBQ 👀🌭… we figured it was about time to do it again. Because honestly: nobody wants to spend the soundcheck hunting for snapshots while the drummer asks “ready yet?” for the 10th time. 😅🎛️

So on June 16, Amptec & DiGiCo are bringing you a hands-on training afternoon focused on faster workflows, smarter festival prepping, console testing, and plenty of backstage knowledge to get you ready for the summer shows. And yes… the BBQ is back too. 🔥

The Koninklijke Schouwburg of Het Nationale Theater in The Hague underwent a major infrastructure transformation. During this extensive project, Amptec completely renewed the venue’s technical cabling backbone to meet the growing demands of modern productions.

The existing copper-based infrastructure from the early 2000s was replaced with a future-ready network for lighting, audio and video distribution. Dozens of new patch panels and connection points were installed throughout the entire venue — from stage left and right, FOH and orchestra pit, to balconies, bridges, loading docks and studio spaces.

With this large-scale upgrade, the Koninklijke Schouwburg now benefits from a flexible and centralized infrastructure capable of supporting complex digital productions, immersive surround sound setups and the technical requirements of tomorrow’s touring shows.

Take a look inside RTL’s news media vehicles. Amptec delivered a fleet of five fully equipped mobile media vans, built for flexible, high-quality production in the field.

We managed the complete technical integration, including cabling and advanced connectivity solutions like bonded cellular and Starlink. Each van features custom-designed furniture to maximize workflow efficiency in a compact space.

With a lithium-based battery and inverter system—charged by the vehicle’s alternator— these vans operate fully autonomously, meeting the demands of modern news production on the move.
