Studio040 delivered two days of live election coverage from the Parktheater in Eindhoven, combining studio production with multiple remote contributions across the region. A RTS Intercom Systems setup formed the backbone of communication between control room, field reporters and remote locations.

Weโ€™re proud to see our colleagues Mike Manders and Fred den Dulk play a key role in this record-breaking Suzan & Freek run. As FOH Engineer, Mike appointed Fred as System Engineer.

For a stadium show with a center stage and audience on all sides, both agreed that a cardioid d&b audiotechnik system was the best solution.

With just eight main and four delay arrays, mainly consisting of GSL-speakers, the entire arena was covered. The cardioid tech helped keep dispersion focused on the audience while minimizing unwanted energy elsewhere, allowing all SL-SUBS to be placed under the stage. A-Series loudspeakers were used as fills for the front row.

Audio for both Suzan & Freek and the support acts was mixed on Avid VENUE S6L consoles, with routing handled by DirectOut Prodigy. DPA Microphones were used throughout the production, including an extensive ambience microphone setup to capture the energy of 40,000 fans every night.

Festival season is comingโ€ฆ and while scrolling through these photos from our 2022 DiGiCo Prep Your Summer BBQ ๐Ÿ‘€๐ŸŒญโ€ฆ we figured it was about time to do it again. Because honestly: nobody wants to spend the soundcheck hunting for snapshots while the drummer asks โ€œready yet?โ€ for the 10th time. ๐Ÿ˜…๐ŸŽ›๏ธ

The Koninklijke Schouwburg of Het Nationale Theater in The Hague underwent a major infrastructure transformation. During this extensive project, Amptec completely renewed the venueโ€™s technical cabling backbone to meet the growing demands of modern productions.

The existing copper-based infrastructure from the early 2000s was replaced with a future-ready network for lighting, audio and video distribution. Dozens of new patch panels and connection points were installed throughout the entire venue โ€” from stage left and right, FOH and orchestra pit, to balconies, bridges, loading docks and studio spaces.

With this large-scale upgrade, the Koninklijke Schouwburg now benefits from a flexible and centralized infrastructure capable of supporting complex digital productions, immersive surround sound setups and the technical requirements of tomorrowโ€™s touring shows.

We managed the complete technical integration, including cabling and advanced connectivity solutions like bonded cellular and Starlink. Each van features custom-designed furniture to maximize workflow efficiency in a compact space.

With a lithium-based battery and inverter systemโ€”charged by the vehicleโ€™s alternatorโ€” these vans operate fully autonomously, meeting the demands of modern news production on the move.
