our house is on fire. let’s act. rokko and rephrase are going to the climate march together on the 11th of october 💚
come have breakfast and make banners in the morning at rokko (or become a banner: we paint each others faces). we take the banners to the train station and ride to brussels north together. there we will join the climate march. we’ll provide questions to connect about the ecological crisis during the whole day. there is a team taking the train back together
👉🏼 to take part: join the signal group in our link in bio
*if there is anything holding you back from joining, please share it with us and we love to think together about how to help

waar gaat mijn geld naartoe?

where is my money going? (aka why you will always have cheaper cappuccino's at home) when you pay 3,50 (our a-price) for a cappuccino, only 0,51 of that goes towards the actual cost of the ingredients used for this cappuccino (coffee, oatmilk). and yet we need that extra 3 euros to cover our own costs. rent, repairs, maintenance, POS systems, wifi, toilet paper, taxes... and also our wages: € 12,82 per hour gross, of which about half goes to withholding tax, social security contributions and other taxes. ps: more *behind the scenes* posts with more info will follow pps: send us and email of you have any questions, remarks, thoughts or ideas after reading this message

how’s rokko doing? it’s a question we all regularly get, coming from clients and cooperators, family and friends, colleagues and fellow students. the answers vary from day to day, from person to person, from a deep sigh to an enthusiastic tale. at our general assembly we discussed several answers to this question with the attending cooperators, more specifically we discussed the question ‘how’s rokko doing financially?’. because to realise rokko’s mission and vision, in the first place rokko needs to be able to exist (and therefore get by financially). now we would like to take you with us *behind the scenes* of rokko. ps: there will be more of these *behind the scenes* posts with other types of information pps: send us and email of you have questions, thoughts, remarks or ideas after reading this post
