A Zambian Reporter Exclusive

A senior member of Zambian civil society and founding Board Member of Transparency international Zambia (TIZ) has exposed what he has termed “a hidden politically inspired agenda” behind the nongovernmental organisation’s “biased approach” towards alleged irregularities at the Ministry of Health headquarters in Lusaka.

He also revealed a plot being engineered by Secretary to the Cabinet Dr Simon Miti, where TIZ and a few other “compromised NGO’s” are being sponsored in cash and in kind to hold press conferences targeted at putting pressure on ACC to pursue Honeybee Pharmacy and a former Ministry of Health (MOH) PS

Speaking to *The Zambian Reporter* on condition of anonymity, the veteran anti-corruption activist exposed Zambia’s chief civil servant and catalogued a litany of prejudices being practised by TIZ.

_“The current TIZ team is not coming out transparently in the way they are commenting about alleged financial irregularities at Ministry of Health. The fact of the matter is that TIZ sits on the procurement committees at Ministry of Health Head Quarters”_.
_”Why have they been hiding the fact that TIZ is an ex-officio member of the MOH Procurement Committee and they are as such, part and parcel of the procurement process at MOH?”_

Health Minister Dr Jonas Chanda says there has been no theft of Covid -19 at the Ministry of Health.

Dr Chanda said this last Wednesday in Parliament in response to a question raised by Kalabo Central Member of Parliament Chinga Miyutu, who also wanted to find out whether or not there had been any officers at the ministry who had been arrested _“for misappropriating the funds”_.

In his response, the Minister emphasized that as there had been no theft of Covid-19 funds established, there had consequently been no arrests.
_“There can be no arrest where there has been no theft- it is not only illogical, but it also goes against the principles of natural justice”_ the Minister said.

He bemoaned the prevalence of online fake news, warning that the trend had the potential to compromise health service delivery in general, and the fight against Covid-19 in particular.

_“It is disturbing to read all manner of fabrications, distortions and general misinformation on social media. The sad reality is that when a lie is constantly repeated, it is often taken as a fact. May I take this opportunity through this august house to caution social media users to avoid spreading unsubstantiated reports, including the one alleging that K6.5 Billion Kwacha Covid funds have been stolen. Let us all as Zambians focus on stopping the spread of the SARS-Cov-2 rather than being super spreaders of unsubstantiated reports which are just as virulent and as deadly as Covid-19”_ Dr Chanda cautioned.

And in a related development, the Auditor General’s Office has given the Ministry of Health a clean bill.

UNDERSTAND THE CHRONOLOGY CHECK THE EVIDENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

1. HH seeks time to appear before police.

2. Mutale Nalumango mobilizes people from across the country to gather in Lusaka to show solidarity.

3. UPND leaders volunteer to be body guards and security guards for HH.

4. Thousands of cadre are ferried to Lusaka in approximately *32 buses*.

5.They argue with police and obstruct them from performing their duties.

6. The so called body guards of HH cover their faces to conceal their true identity.

7. Firing takes place at a restaurant away from the site of conflict. A bullet hits State Prosecutor Nsama Chipyoka straight in head! Very precise shot.

8. Minutes after the shooting HH comes out and claims that it was a sniper who shot Nsama and Joseph!

9. HH claims more people have been shot at and killed. Doesn’t this raise any eyebrows? Premeditated killings!

NOW ANALYSE:

Where did he get this information from when he was, according to his own claims, was being questioned by police when the shooting happened?!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!

*THE WOUND OF A FATHER*

A true father goes through many unspeakable experiences to continue to be a father. When he goes out daily in search of bread for his household, he sustains many mental injuries he does not discuss with his family.

His wife and children may not be able to stand the pains he goes through if he shares it with them. The insults from his boss, the embarrassment from his customers, the harassment from his superiors etc yet he can't quit.

Most times when he gets home, he is welcomed with nags and unending requests. He gets blames for not being able to meet up or for not being able to be like his fellow men. Hmmmm! He is rarely appreciated for his struggles and push just to keep the family together.

Some men had secretly dipped their hands in so many things they can't discuss with their families. Some have stolen, embezzled and borrowed so much that they live in inexpressible guilts everyday.

A real father can take anything just to keep food on the table for his household.

An adage says ''goat sweats but his hair does not let people see his sweat''. Many men are sweating but no one is seeing their sweat because they have a car, a house, a job etc. When it comes to celebrating him, it is done casually.

He may not have breasts to breastfeed, yet everyone sucks from his unseen breasts.

He may not carry pregnancy for nine months but he's always pregnant with family needs.

He may not know how labour pain feels, but his pains are not physical.

Tears may not be in his eyes but he bleeds from inside when he has no means to put food on the table for his household.

His shout, hostility and moods are not premeditated, they are fallout of what he goes through. Understand him please.

Send an encouraging message to a father.👏🏼😷
