Nomado Store

Nomado Store is a European concept store dedicated to curating the best stationery & lifestyle products for discerning "modern nomads".

Based in Belgium, in the centre of Europe, we are a small company specialising in e-commerce called Nomado Business Solutions (or Nomasol). In April 2016, after 20 years in the corporate rat-race, we decided to take the plunge and combine our passion for good design and travel into NOMADO Store a 100% on-line concept store. Travel has always played an important role in both our professional and private lives, which means that the items we carry and use when on the move also have a major impact on both our effectiveness and mindset. Product selection is of crucial importance to us. We search relentlessly for goods which are:

durable: most of the goods we sell are handmade to last from quality materials
beautiful: because form is as important as function
practical: as in well-designed
uncommon: ..vs mass-produced with low added-value
In these times of mass production of cheap goods and global consumerism, we were finding it increasingly difficult to buy items which met these criteria. We were also disappointed by brick & mortar stores that never had the products we wanted in stock and tired of poor service and communication from the on-line ones. NOMADO Store is our answer to this. Our objective is quite simply to curate the most practical and beautiful portable goods from a limited selection of suppliers in Japan and many other countries to make your life on the move a more positive experience. We also try our hardest to make shopping from our store an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Over the coming weeks, we will be setting up 2 new travel-focused blogs, one in English, the other in French, to share our favourite travel spots, experiences and insights with you. We spent most of yesterday at the LINEAPELLE, the world’s largest leather industry trade show. Lineapelle is all about leather and the means to produce it and related materials, as well as hardware for leather goods, packaging and just about anything one might require to make the beautiful leather items we curate at Nomado Store. Thousands of tanneries from all over the world are there to showcase their know how and innovations, from traditional family owned traditional ones to high tech companies developing plant based materials. We focused mainly on Japanese and Tuscan leathers and are returning with some amazing samples and ideas.

We spent this morning at MIPEL, one of Europe’s largest leather goods trade shows with brands from all over the world. Result: we’ll be releasing a collaboration collection of canvas and leather and all leather bags with an Italian luxury brand early next year as one of our tenth anniversary releases. Tomorrow we’ll be at the Lineapelle trade show to meet tanneries and select leathers for forthcoming Ateliers Phileas projects. Charles
