Assuming that everything works out in my favour, I will make Bosnia & Herzegovina home 🇧🇦. There’s a lot of paper work and uncertainty to push through but that’s nothing new.

What’s next when it comes to jewelry? First- a rebrand.
Parlé The Garage was my first toe-dip into this industry. I started with zero knowledge both as a goldsmith, designer and business owner. After three years of fails and successes, much more experience of the craft learned, and a refined sense of personal taste met with client expectations, it’s about time to build a brand that reflects that growth.

For those that have supported me from the start and for those recently following this page, don’t worry, I’m just gonna change the username of this account and post a different style of photos. No need to go unfollowing and refollowing a new account. I hope you’ll be as excited to see the next stage of whatever this as I am.

I left Belgium on a one-way ticket this summer. I haven’t made any jewellery since then and I’ve been keeping myself busy with other things during that time. Now finally I feel I can settle down in what I hope becomes my new home-country and start thinking about creating jewelry again. A lot of my belongs have already arrived here, including my fluffy friend Vienna. For now, I am still missing a few things like my hand torch, my silver stock, my filing block etc. Still, the need to create doesn’t listen to those excuses. So without further ado I invite you enjoy this woven bracelet and ring set made entirely and very unprofessionally from the grass blades in my garden 🌱 :)

Two years of goldsmithing and pure joy…my lessons and access to bigger equipment is coming to end but I get to keep all the knowledge and I’m so grateful for that blessing!

For those that don’t know, most “hobby craft” lessons have been subject to increase in the registration fee by 50%-75%. I’ve always found my lessons to be extremely accessible financially and it was the thing I loved most about living in Belgium. I’m a little disappointed that access to knowledge and skills that are so specialised are becoming a luxury that only a few can enjoy. Jewelry making was something that helped me achieve financial goals, gain confidence in my creative ability and in general and it’s become a big part of my dream career. For many of us, it’s not just “something to do on a Friday night”…and it’s so technical YouTube can only get you so far. Belgium is a heavily taxing country, with already no breathing room for entrepreneurs to start, and this just added to the pressure for a lot of people starting a career in jewelry. What really adds to the disappointment is that, it’s not the teachers that will get paid more, it’s not the school secretaries, it’s not the maintainable crew…it’s the government. You might think the government takes care of us, but we’re taking care of the government, and this is not okay. You’re free to your own opinion but respectfully, this is mine, and I hope it wakes even one person up to the increased level of greed and blatant corruption we are living in.

Another silly little number…

Gonna call this one MACKEY MARQUISE ring

I love naming pieces after my lovely clients as a form of appreciation for investing in one of my pieces.

This marquise shaped signet ring will be set with two to four tanzanite stones faceted in a similar marquise style. Tanzanite has this stunning violet blue hue that is quite distinctive. It is also credited with extreme rarity, being found exclusively in an area near Mount Kilimanjaro. Because of its uniqueness, the stone is expected to increase in value over the next few decades, making it a truly great stone to invest in.

Dear Everyone,

I’ve been making some personal and professional changes lately to accommodate for more creativity, freedom to work and play and basically enjoy life while still taking care of private responsibilities.

Although I doubt anyone has noticed, I’m no longer at the weekend markets in Ghent and Mechelen and while they were so much fun and where I met 95% of you guys, they had become a distraction from my goal to make true fine jewelry and one-off pieces. I’ve also been less active on this platform and I hope that gives some explanation. Basically it’s been a lot of brain work recently (and also I was busy making Ramadan friends 🫶🏼)

This is not the only change but for now, the only one worth sharing. I hope everyone sticks around to see my jewelry ambitions take shape more and more and I thank you for your patience while I re-align. Here’s a photo dump for you cuties 🐰
