One of my basses on its way to Germany. Amazing Pro player that wanted a bass so he could play (unamplified) in his apartment without bothering the neighbours. His wife’s comment : sounds like an acoustic bass. His comment : yes but also plays like an acoustic bass

During the Bass Day at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp a lot of people (and pro players) tested my basses. The basses are all VanW basses (original design by Jak van Waarde). The feedback : they all loved the sound, playability, balance, craftsmanship,…). Three points of feedback :
1. Can you offer a detachable neck ?
2. About 50% of them want a support on the left hand side to support the arm when playing in thumb position ?
3. If you want a compact bass but still like the scroll, what do you chose ?

I have been working on these questions…. Stay tuned…
