Two wines available to taste at Crush this week:

Tahbilk Marsanne 2024 € 14.50

Always a benchmark for this Rhone varietal, the Tahbilk Marsanne has excelled in recent years, with the 2024 clocking in at 95/100 from the main Australian wine critic.
“One of the top value Aussie whites going – year in, year out. It is unwooded and so the purity of varietal expression is keen, with the prettiest of spring florals on display and a brightness of citrus that sparks the palate. Honeysuckle, citrus blossom and acacia work with citrus, quince, green apple and a lemon sorbet tang to ignite the tastebuds, hand in hand with juicy acidity. A mid-palate creaminess opens up the food-matching possibilities. I'm thinking lobster meunière. As for ageing? It's up for a decade or more.”

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2024 € 18.90

From the winery of Kevin Judd, winemaker at Cloudy Bay for 25 years, the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is another wine coming in with ratings of 93 – 95/100.
A musky fusion of sweet scented fruits - nectarines, peaches and nashi pears with a dash of orange zest - intermingled with a floral perfume reminiscent of star jasmine and citrus blossom. A generous palate with citrus and cassis flavours, deliciously ripe and succulent, finishing with that classic Marlborough zing.

Crush will close at 18h today and reopen on Monday 9 February. It will exceptionally be open 9, 10 and 11 February as well as the usual days (Thursday-Saturday).
