Time to introduce one of the more experimental additions to our new gear collection…the SOMA Terra 🍃

More than just a synth, the SOMA Terra is an instrument built around a simple idea: bringing nature and technology together. Behind its minimal, solid wood design lies a remarkably deep polyphonic synthesiser capable of everything from delicate, organic tones to rich textures, atonal soundscapes and controlled chaos ✨

You may notice there is no traditional keyboard here… instead, the Terra features an innovative touch-sensitive playing surface that responds to pressure, velocity and movement, with built-in motion sensors and microtonal tuning accurate to 125 steps per semitone.

As well as the Terra, two other SOMA instruments can be found in the studios - the Lyra-8 and Flux 🔥

Already finding its way into the studios of some of the world’s most adventurous producers and composers, the SOMA Terra is redefining what a synthesiser can be. Ours is waiting for you in The Gatehouse 👀

10 years SOMA Laboratory !!!

10 years of SOMA: thank you for making it real.

Every anniversary is a chance to look back and be honest about what actually matters. For us, the answer has always been the same: you. The people who chose SOMA instruments, who trusted us with their creative process, who kept coming back. You’re not just our audience, you’re the reason SOMA exists at all.

Over these 10 years, a lot has happened. Our team has grown, our partner network has expanded across continents, and SOMA has become something bigger than we ever imagined. We now have a dedicated SOMA Laboratory US Division and SOMA Balkans, we’re actively building our presence in Asia working closely with Fukusan Kigyo in Japan, NoiseTone and Modular Commune in China. We’re proud to welcome SOMA Australia (FoundSound) and our first-ever distributor in Argentina (SONODELIA). And the last year, we finally opened the doors to our main headquarters in Płock, Poland, the central home of SOMA Laboratory, where your instruments are built and our team is headquartered.

Our birthday year started at Superbooth26, where we showed up as a full team. We launched ENIGMA, our newest instrument, and were genuinely happy to see so many of you at our booth. It felt like the right way to open this anniversary year.

And we’re just getting started. Coming up: a new book by Vlad Kreimer for your soul and mind, the first-ever vinyl release on SOMA Labs Music, behind-the-scenes stories about how your SOMA instruments are made, and a closer look at the people behind them.

Words like these stay with us. One of the participants of our contest, Guadalajara, put it simply: “For me, SOMA is more than a brand. It is a philosophy and a completely new way of producing and experiencing music.” That’s exactly what we’re here for.
