Living in the tropics, in the city of Rio made designers Ana Voss and Brunno Jahara, think about a collaboration in new products with the desire to give value to a natural and universal material, the straw, so much used by the native tropical people. They created this entire collection of objects and accessories that resumes this values called PALEAE BRASILIS, latin for Brazilian straw, pieces are

meant for the home and fashion. In this collaborative project between a fashion and a product designer, both with vast professional experience, comes, as a result, new light shades, hats, shoes, baskets and bags. Jahara has opted to draw structures in solid brass to protect and keep safe the straw shapes where custom made baskets become hanging lamps, table lamps, using LED technology to create palm shade effects. While Ana Voss have taken on a new look to beachwear accessories, molding in different way the hat, using the lampshade dome as a bag and a cap in natural straw that mixes small details in leather and golden brass. The process of creating together enriches each part of the result and transposes disciplines with a common material.
