“The Silk Walk Experience” documentary, created by Chantel O’Brian, has taken home Best Story at the London Fashion Film Festival. 🏆

Just last Monday, we highlighted another Bahamian creative making waves with their work. And here we are again — another reminder that Bahamian talent continues to tell powerful stories, create boldly and earn well-deserved recognition beyond our shores.

Shop: A Cow Called Boy – 2nd Edition

The Olympic flame has arrived in Senegal ‘s capital the countdown to the first Olympic sporting event held in Africa, the Youth Olympic Games.

More than 100 people gathered at Dakar’s Place du Souvenir Africain, a waterfront plaza overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, surrounded by portraits of prominent figures from Africa and its diaspora, to greet the flame ahead of the Youth Olympic Games next month.

The ceremony featured a march by 100 Senegalese women, including basketball star Mame Maty Mbengue.

The event will take place from 31 October to 13 November and will bring together around 2,700 young athletes to compete in 35 sports across Dakar and the nearby cities Diamniadio and Saly.
