ARC Fine Art in Amagansett will now offer a few weekly Yoga, Meditation, and Breathwork classes. Having been a practitioner and student of yoga for 36 years and now a certified yoga teacher iLa Yoga, I am delighted to be able to share my passion for this physical practice and philosophy with the local community. In our prior location, a barn in Fairfield, Connecticut, yoga was enjoyed by children in summer camps, ladies in the evening led by Erin Thorkilsen and lastly by followers of Jarosa Yoga when they lost their studio during Covid. As I never taught yoga in that beautiful space, I left it last summer rather remorseful that my teacher training came so late in life. I am incredibly heartened to have found myself in such a beautiful barn where I can begin to explore this other dimension. Thank you once again Charlie & Sons Landscapes for entrusting me with this gem. 🙏💙

Please join us tomorrow, Saturday, June 13th, 10-12 for a Book Signing and Print Sale with Gay Cioffi.

Gay Cioffi is an artist living in East Hampton, New York. Her recent book FLOWERS and WORDS, combines watercolor renderings of flowers with wise and whimsical quotes.
FLOWERS and WORDS is in its third edition and has sold over 1,000 copies in the last 18 months.
Ms. Cioffi studied art at the Museum School of Fine Arts in Boston in conjunction with her Masters Degree from Tufts University. She also studied at the Corcoran School of Art and Rosary College in Florence, Italy.
In addition to her work as a painter, Gay Cioffi has had an illustrious career as a Fine Art Photographer. Her photographs have been exhibited nationally and internationally and are featured in numerous permanent collections.

“I had my first garden in college and have continued to garden throughout my life. The metaphor of planting seeds, as an act of faith, is an obvious one. Gardening requires a belief in the future. There are no guarantees, but, you hope with the right combination of luck and intention, you will have a positive yield. “

Last weekend, I made a quick visit to opening of “The Garden of Friends: Ode to the Sea.” Since it’s on view until December 6, 2026, I’ll be going back many times and also to explore the beautiful exhibition inside - “Judith and Gerson Leiber: A Passion for Fashion,” a vibrant exhibition celebrating the extraordinary creative partnership between Judith Leiber, renowned for her iconic handbags, and Gerson Leiber, an accomplished abstract and fashion painter. If you haven’t been, check out this hidden treasure! Even if you’re not into fashion or handbags, in particular, the collection is outstanding and will appeal to people of all ages! #

Inspired by the dynamic presence of the ocean and its influence on life and creativity on the East End, the garden exhibition will feature works by Denice Banks, Monica Banks, Scott Bluedorn, Philippe Cheng, Jeremy Dennis, Sabra Moon Elliot, Donna Green, Jeremy Grosvenor, Laurie Lambrecht, Sutton Lynch, Jill Musnicki, Cindy Pease Roe, Nicole Rosenthal, Julia Scheuer, Bastienne Schmidt, Janice Stanton, Bill Stewart, Shane Weeks and Almond Zigmund.

Featured in this reel are four artists I work with: Laurie Lambrecht, Bastienne Schmidt, Scott Bluedorn and Philippe Cheng.

Meet my new galley assistant Esme Washburn- also the younger sister of my future daughter in law! I couldn’t be more delighted to have Esme helping me in the gallery this summer! Another beautiful synchronicity that she happened to be available to jump in and spend the summer with ARC. A rising junior studying art history at Bucknell University, Esme will be in the gallery when I can not be and will be at most events in the coming months! Come say hi!

A beautiful installation earlier this month for a lovely family in CT. After losing their home and everything in it to a devastating fire, they are rebuilding their lives from the ground up. Once the beautiful interior finishes were completed by the ever talented , the search for art was on. Each piece was intentionally selected and it was clear when we hung Bill Tansey’s whimsical “Vine Vase” that a smile was assured upon walking into the room each time. Its joyous palette and playful floral forms brings an ease and levity to the formal and classical living room grounded with an earlier painting by Caio Fonseca. One of a few remaining collaged wax works by Olivia Munroe subtlety pulls one into the adjoining writing room for a moment of reflection. Thank you for bringing onto this beautiful project. Bringing joy to others through art is one of my greatest pleasures!

Last week former microbiologist Kelsey Brooks talked about his art and his exploration into the biochemical pathways of Psilocybin. A top medical figure at the hospital also discussed the incredible results he has experienced in treating addiction patients and terminally ill cancer patients with Psilocybin. Finally the medical world is getting back to its earlier positive findings of these natural resources and pushing forward to incorporate them into treatment protocols.

Bravo for highlighting this transformative work by your doctors and the profound work by Kelsey Brooks.
Will post this video and another by the researcher/doctor as a story.

Congratulations Olivia Munroe on your current exhibition in Albuquerque and the lovely article by Edward Gómez in Brut Journal. A few installation shots along with a selection of works on paper that are in our inventory. These jewel-toned abstractions are from her “Expanding” series she completed before moving to Albuquerque during the pandemic and are similar to the more recent series now on view in New Mexico.
