Stihl MS 382 given some upgrades:
1. 25 inch guide bar.
2. 25 inch Oregon 3/8 84 DL Full Skip Chisel chain.
3. Carburetor tuned to spec.
4. Source of guide bar and Oregon chain: SA & USA respectively.
5. 25 inch is the max that should be fitted. Not that anything stops me from installing a 28 or inch bar. Just thinking out loud.

Guide bar sizes: 15, 18, 20, 24 inches.
Process:
Chain inspection>Cleaning>Sharpen>Cleaning.
Chain sharpened to OEM specification, using specialized tools.
A sharp chain should throw chips,while a dull chain throws sawdust and smokes.
