Madlamini Florence Please follow the below steps:
1. Remove both power and LNB (Dish) cables, once both cables have been removed please reinsert the LNB cable first followed by the power supply and wait for the device to automatically reboot.
2. Once the device has restarted check if there are any visuals appearing on the screen. If yes, proceed to follow the onscreen activation prompt via USSD code in the red ribbon. If no, please check the strength and quality levels found at the bottom of the ‘Help’ screen. This needs to be above 85% in order for you to enjoy uninterrupted viewing.
3. If these still appear as 0%, then follow the steps of your user manual to do a factory reset so the device can be reset to its original settings. (This step would not be necessary for brand new decoders as it will still be on the factory settings).
If you are still unable to get any signal, seeing “No channel” or “no satellite found/automatically”, please contact your closest installer. Please note installers operate independently and charge extra for their services.
Note 1: Even though DSTV and OpenView use the same IS20 Satellite, they use different transponders/frequencies. To pick up OpenView the dish needs to be turned to 68.5 degrees in a north easterly direction. The installer may need to reposition your dish
