That one time my body was eating away my muscle mass and I didn't even know it.
Story time: So last year around this time I began my health journey. I've eliminated everything and I mean EVERYTHING that is bad. What do I call bad foods? Well the list is pretty much a long as list. But just to name a few:
Processed meats, beef, pork, processed foods such as cheese etc, sodas, beers, alcohol, junk food.
At the time my diet consist of just chicken, vegetables. That was it! I had to eliminate all the above bad foods I mentioned was because of gout. A person with gout cannot eat those types of foods. You'll often get gout flares. And gout flares hurt like a motherf*cker! I don't wish that on anyone ☝🏽
So for 3 to 4 months straight I was eating between the hours of 6 am - 6pm. Now realizing that I was fasting. At the time I didn't even know what was fasting or how to do fasting. When I started my health journey. I picked that ideal time frame for my food because I thought it was okay time schedule. Not realizing my body was eating away my body and muscle at the same time. The first picture was how I looked a year ago around July or August. My weight at that time was was whopping 187 lbs.
My skin was pale, my eye sockets were bulgy and sunken in. I reached a size waist 36( I was size 40) and t-shirt size Medium ( I was size XL). My family would often tell me I look sick. Even one of my in laws, my brother in law to be exact. Every time he saw me who would say he didn't like to see me like this. I reached the point where my rib cage was starting to show. Oh how I wish I had a photo of that so that I could show y'all. So that's basically my story on how my body was eating itself away at one point.
Don't get me wrong, intermittent fasting is a good thing to do. You just just gotta know how to do it.
