GOD IN THE HONEY HOUSE 🐝
An amazing mix of old and new, art and rust, patience and bush.
It’s finally here.
A journey that could never have been planned by me.
Late last year, God impressed on my heart to create an official Honey House—a showpiece, a display to The Golden Standard of Belize, and an expression of excellence and dedication to the hardwork of beekeepers and bees.
I wrestled with the possibilities for months because this is a bootstrapped business. Then, God pointed me to the container.
For years, it sat there without an honorable purpose, now deteriorating with a leaking roof, floor metals braces popping up, exposing a rotting platform.
Even I thought, -Why didn't I think of that?- a workable frame was right there all along—just waiting for a new purpose.
I shared the idea and vision with my cousin, and without hesitation, he made this old broken down container, his own sweet idea and heart project.
The roof was badly leaking. So the guys cut it off, and we decided to turn the old roof into the new floor support.
Wild cane, freshly cut, became part of the interior elegance. My cousin was deliberate about seeking out precious Belizean hardwoods, bringing the beauty of our rainforest into the Honey House—the very environment where Belizean Africanized “killer” bees forage, prosper and pollinate.
God’s dream is now tangible for the entire world to see. It stands beautifully beside the George Price Highway in the beautiful caribbean country of Belize. It's wrapped in an old farm container that was once meant to store farm “stuff.”
Pieces of Belize's wild, rugged beauty live inside this little Honey House.
Old things HAS New purpose.
Broken things HAS New beauty.
Bush, wood, bees, sweat, creativity—and a whole lot of love and faith.
And standing here now, I can't help but see God in the Honey House. 🐝🇧🇿❤️
I can't wait to see God in you 👉!
