Please let us share this wonderful story about Judy Greenwood.

Judy Greenwood was a master artist from Maple Ridge who passed away in 2015 at the age of 59. She was known for her immense kindness, generosity, and joy in making others happy. Judy was an incredibly versatile creator who expressed her extensive talents through many different mediums.

Judy explored all varieties of the arts, quilting by hand and machine, fabric painting, thread painting, wool felting, hand embroidery, rock painting and more!

As a self-taught master of her craft, she took courses of interest but largely guided her own artistic journey. She was highly generous with her knowledge, frequently hosting and giving art classes inside her own home.

The Fundraising Donation:
Following her passing, Judy's husband, Lawrence, donated a collection of Judy's art pieces, including stunning quilts and fiber art wall hangings to the MCC Quilt Shop.

The MCC quilters are deeply honored to receive these unique pieces, which will be sold to raise funds for the ongoing work of the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC).

A few characteristics of the collection include:
Original Masterpieces: Many of the wall hangings were hand-painted by Judy before being meticulously detailed.

Interactive Art: Some wall hangings in the collection are deliberately incomplete. This allows the purchaser to finish the piece in their own unique style, creating a deeply personal work of art to treasure.

Lawrence feels that Judy would be beaming that people so appreciate her art. 💕
