Today is my birthday 🎈 and to celebrate, I just shared this poem over on my Up at Gabby's House page...

Hello! It's been a minute since we chatted on this page
And since we did, the seasons changed and I'm a whole new age

A year ago today this Gabby turned the big 5-0
That day my book was published! I still can't believe it's so

It's crazy how the days and months and years just fly right by
And memories hold such a special place in my minds eye

Have you read "Up at Gabby's House" or shared it with a friend?
Did it bring you back in time before you reached the end?

My book is filled with memories and photos held so dear
And also how I decorate to keep those memories near

Grandma's favorite recipes (and one of my Dad's too)
Sewing projects made with love especially by you

I do not want to keep my book entirely to myself
Instead I'd love to see one placed on everybody's shelf

Please know how truly blessed I'd be if you would choose my book
For I believe your eyes will smile with each and every look

To help you buy one for yourself, and also for your friends
I'll have a special BIRTHDAY SALE until September ends

For now that I am 51, I'm closer to the ages
Of my grandparents pictured in my book on special pages

It's been a BUSY couple of days for my daughter Julianna and I! Being that the Christmas shoot is today (🎄🎄💕} I asked her on Friday to "whip up" a toque for me. On Saturday she got started, and I went to work joining and scallop trimming some granny square blocks I'd previously made to make a scarf 🧣. And WHEW we did it!

Christmas overload, am I right?
