In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Styilst does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. During this time the only item available for purchase will be the I Stand With You tee.

Words are not enough. Action inspires change and we are using our platform as a call to action. We stand in solidarity against the systemic inequality, racism and oppression faced by the Black community. We demand change. *All net proceeds from this tee will shared equally between the Canadian Race Relations Foundation and Black Lives Matter.

❤ FUNDRAISER

TO DATE WE HAVE RAISED OVER $37K!!!

Our Moment In Time fundraising tee, 1st & 2nd Edition are now BOTH available to purchase!

Every day we turn our attention to media outlets for updates regarding the worldwide pandemic and the faces and voices that continue to emerge are female. A second tee has been created in recognition of five additional women and their remarkable leadership.

These t-shirts highlight the leadership of these individuals as members of our medical communities who are among the authorities advising the Canadian people at large. We are continuing this fundraiser initiative to further support the front line workers caring for Canadians every single day.

100% of net proceeds will be donated to Conquer COVID-19 (www.conquercovid19.ca), whose mission is to ensure front line workers responsible for the health and wellbeing of Canadians have access to masks, gloves, and other supplies that are essential in treating patients and minimizing the spread of the virus.

Silver Icing is comprised of an incredibly strong group of women from across Canada. This influential group believes in positive leadership and taking action, especially at a time when it is needed most.

One of our Core Values at Silver Icing is the word “Community”; at its essence, our community provides a sense of support and for that reason we, as a community, are coming together to support the lives affected in Australia.

We are devastated by the tragedies caused by the wide spread bushfires all throughout Australia. Silver Icing is holding a fundraiser in an effort to help both our human and furry friends rebuild their lives as well as their precious and unique ecosystems.
