End of Journey – North of 54 (please share)
North of 54 opened its doors on November 5th, 2024. In downtown La Ronge where it was short but gave me the insights to ensuring customers were comfortable during their shopping experience we then moved to new location in Air Ronge for February of 2025. From here the company grew, Months spent building the plans were no longer just ideas of growth but a map that led us to where we could see a huge leap forward.
What started as an idea nearly a year ago quickly became something more than just a store.
From auto sales to trailer rentals, online markets to better hauling and moving services and office spaces rentals the vision was made solid. I have the memories of the smiles that were along the way that then became conversations at the counter, regular faces walking through the door, donated items finding second lives, and moments where someone found exactly what they needed—sometimes without even looking for it.
There were busy days, quiet days, long nights, early mornings, and countless lessons learned along the way.
This business was built with heart, effort, and a genuine belief in creating something meaningful for this community.
Running a small business is not just about inventory or numbers.
It is about showing up, adapting, and giving everything you have—even when the outcome is uncertain.
To the many people, organizations and agencies that supported North of 54 in any way—shopping, sharing posts, donating, offering encouragement, or simply believing in the idea—thank you again.
This chapter may be coming to an end, but what was built right here at home will always be part of my story.
