After a 2+ year hiatus of posting my crochet projects I’m back 🧶. This one is a gift for a good friend’s first grandson. It has been washed and is currently being blocked (pinned, stretched and shaped). A modern chromatic take on an heirloom

Many people have asked where our inspiration came from for our biz name. Peony Designs is in memory of a dear friend, Lynne Terry, who passed away a year ago today, after a 13 year brave battle with brain cancer. Lynne loved life, her family, nature and photography. She took amazing photos of flowers and fauna. Her Mississauga garden had the most incredible peonies I've ever seen, which I was the lucky recipient of yearly. Her university friends thoughtfully planted peonies in her memory last Fall. I bought one this month in memory of Lynne, aptly named 'Nice Gal'. Ironically, a peony bloom lasts for approx 7-10 days - such a short-lived beauty. Lynne's life, though cut short, was well lived, a beauty inside and out. I know she would have been so excited and supportive of our business venture. We miss her. RIP Lynne ❤️🌸
