Love Tartan- Kiltmaker Catherine MacLeod

Love Tartan- Kiltmaker Catherine MacLeod I learned kilt making from my mother, Helen (Constable) MacLeod, and my aunt, Anna MacDonald of Paisley, Scotland.

It’s amazing that adding a new pocket, freshly aligning and pressing pleats, replacing worn belts, and repairing open pleats and lining, can do to revive a kilt.
Do you have a band kilt needed a refresh?

Very frustrating to find a machine-sewn kilt with the pleats stitched into the waistband. While my original job was simply to move the straps and buckles, I first had to spend extra time correcting poor construction before I could begin the actual alterations. Quality workmanship matters

Working on a beautiful light weight kilt. Adjust the aprons and moving belts and buckles for a custom fit.
