Friends, we are very excited to finally share the news with all of you.
The wonderful author of Peace by Chocolate, Jon Tattrie, has worked hard to bring an expanded edition of our book to life in celebration of Peace by Chocolate’s 10th anniversary, and we could not be happier to see the result.
Our family is so grateful for the tens of thousands of people from Canada and around the world who have read the book and shared it, and we’re excited for the many more who will discover and share this new edition.
We would love for you to join us for the book launch on Monday, October 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Halifax Central Library. We hope to see many familiar faces, and new ones too, as we share more about the story.
Can’t make it to the launch? You can still be part of the story. Pre-order your copy today.
See you Monday! 🍫❤️

We're so thrilled to be releasing a new, expanded version of Jon Tattrie's bestselling book, Peace by Chocolate, in honour!

Come join Jon Tattrie, Tareq Hadhad, and Peace by Chocolate at these celebrations of the story of how a small town embracing a family of refugees turned into one of Canada’s most beloved chocolatiers. And, of course, enjoy some of the delicious treats that helped them make their name.

Today is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. It is a day to listen and honour the voices and stories of Survivors. Let’s take some time to reflect, remember, and think about how each of us can help build a future with more understanding and reconciliation.

Much love and peace..

Happy International Day of Peace! This day has always encapsulated all the ideals and values that we at Peace by Chocolate hold dearly in our hearts. Every day we wake up with a mission: to make the world a more peaceful place and leave it better than we found it.
Today we also celebrate Canada, not because it is untouched by challenges, but because it continues to meet them with courage and unity. Canada showed us what becomes possible when compassion is put into action, and people from every background are given the chance to belong and succeed.
Every day, we work to give back to the country that welcomed us by creating jobs, supporting communities and dedicating 3% to 5% of our annual profits to initiatives that help build a stronger and more inclusive Canada through our Peace on Earth Society.
We often say that we are not in the business of chocolate; we are in the business of peace. For us, that mission began in Canada, and it continues to be inspired by Canada.
Peace is one of this country’s greatest strengths, and it is something we must continue building together. Celebrate today by reflecting on the blessings we have while we live in a peaceful country and by thinking of those dreaming of a peaceful moment to live in again.
