If you chase Steelhead long enough, you may come to realize that just walking down a lovely trail to a favourite pool, a pool filled with memories, is such a wonderful part of the day. I love living in British Columbia and the only downside is that it cost a lot to mail things in Canada. So I'm doing all my U.S. and European Shipping out of Bozeman, Mt. this coming week. So if anyone wants to order my 2025 Fly Fishing Dreams Calendar now is the time to do it. It's a large format (12" x 24") calendar that is crammed full of info; the people, the places, the fly patterns and the passion of our sport and this is the 35th edition. The prices include shipping. For one it's $18, for 5 or more they are only $9 each, for fly shops $8 each, for clubs and conservation groups they are $7 each and for any young kid I run into who loves fly fishing and has no money, they are free. Here's one from the vaults taken by Randall Kaufmann from one of our helicopter camping trips into the Rangitaiki River on the North Island of New Zealand. I loved to fly in there in the Dec. 20-30 window and we would have it all to ourselves. I would rate it as in the top 5 trout rivers in the world. It was like fun on steroids.
