Frugal Frocks will be celebrating a milestone in September 2022, for thirty years, the women’s consignment store and take out espresso bar has been a hub of activity in historic Armstrong. In 1992, owner and operator Susan Gagnon opened the shop with just a few racks of clothes and accessories. Thirty years later, with over 2000 consignees, Frugal Frocks is bursting with quality pre-owned clothing

, jewelry and collectibles. A recent renovation (in its same location for 27 years) has been done to rejuvenate the cozy patio, petite espresso bar, as well as new lighting and paint. We serve “Ottolino” espresso an Italian blend as well as local Frog Friendly as our go to Drip coffee. We still continue to offer weekly coffee specials every Monday Wednesday and Saturday. Our ever-changing inventory still thrills the experienced “thrifter”. We love that Frugal Frocks is the off - line shopping experience where you can truly enjoy the hunt in finding your perfect score.

Hard to imagine total destruction Wild Oak Cafe and The Twisted Purl Yarn Studio from fire, so close by. We hope The Great Wall Restaurant, while damaged is able to recover. For those Frugal followers inquiring by message and phone, yes we are open, store smells a bit smoky still, but thanks to firefighters it didn’t go further. ❤️

We are joining Pleasant Valley Blvd shops to encourage folks to stick around town just a little while longer Sat June 20 th. for summer solstice. Frugal Frocks will be OPEN TILL 6 pm, which gives you a couple extra hours to explore the shop. Espresso machine is on to order your favourites ( decaf available) or try some of our iced beverages and chill on our patio.
