Does a full stock truck 5.3 fit in a TJ Jeep? Yes! Yes it does and the hood even clears with out cutting a thing. First try and I didn’t even try when I was fitting the engine, is that such a fluke or what? I was surprised, really that nothing had to be moved to let it fit

Front cover reseal on a 6.7. Previous 5.9’s from the time they were introduced in the light duty trucks in 1989 all the way to 2007 had a dowel pin that had been proven to walk out of its bore and drop into the front gear train. They solved that in the 6.7’s by simply machining the bore to accept a thread with a bolt instead of a dowel pin. This is the first 6.7 I’ve been in, which i discovered how they solved what was simply called, The Killer Dowl pin, for when it came out, it would very quickly eliminate the engines ability to run. And now you know, todays random fact

Continuing the Jeep 5.3/Ax-15/Np241C swap. Changed the input shaft in the transfercase to mate to the Ax-15, 3 spline difference..... Novak adapter plate with a generic Chev large belhousing for 168 tooth flywheels. First test fit went well. The start of the engine mounts are in. Some firewall moving prevented the need to change the length of the driveshafts. A little here goes along way later on. Along with leveling the engine and aligning the pinion angle. Goes quick if you do all the measuring before hand right??????

It might not look like much but trying to make everything fit in my personal car is like trying to put 12 kittens into a box. By the time you have 5 in, 2 of them have gotten back out, one is missing, 3 have gone to hide and 3 are purring around your neck. Tonight I had 3 purring, the rad, charge pipes and the rad hoses, 3 large fitment battles and they are all taken care of tonight. These 80’s j*p cars have less room than 80’s domestics but thankfully there was a lot of empty room for the inter cooler and rad under the front cowling. More adjustments had to happen to get the passenger side light to open and close without hitting the charge pipe, but after clearncing the front cowl and moving the rad up an inch allowed the charge pipe to move forward enough for the pop up lights to cycle past. Another off the list to keep the car looking normal. Yes the hood does still close with everything underneath of it.

Oh BTW, Bluetooth radiator hoses. Well no but keeping old hoses around in a box you’ll never remember where you put, or have, always helps for making all the pieces fit. Like a 6.2 water pump on a 5 year older engine in a car that’s never known what to do with so many wires. But a short piece of new exhaust pipe will make the dream work 👍

Another never done before, and make the Mopar guys mad, maybe? 5.3 with an a-dapt-a kit to the Ax-15 found behind the 4.0 into a Jeep, originally with the 2.5 help along 4cyl which had the AX-5 manual, which.....does not have the girth to take more horse-torques. SO we will wait for the rest of the parts to skidder in and we will see how it all fits together

Did finally finish the fuel system on our '57 Chevy.
Have enough parts in stock now for it to get it running, maybe I can find the time to put into it to make it so.

Busy shop means slow work on side projects. Fuel system completed over the course of a year? Something like that. Next will be going on to chassis wiring and...
