It’s garlic harvesting day! I’m so happy with how these turned out this year. Big thanks to for the quality organic cloves - your bébés grew up nice and strong.
This garlic will help nourish and protect my family and our garden.
Garlic is one of the herbal ingredients to make Oriental Herbal Nutrient (OHN) to help boost the immune system of the plants and kill/repel pests. It’s made of a mixture of fermentations of equal parts garlic, ginger, cinnamon bark, liquorice, and angelica root.
We’ll also ferment the leftover garlic stalks into a liquid plant food. It’s super simple and effective: put your crop residues into a bucket, fill with rainwater, add a handful of compost, put a lid of the bucket and voilà! It will sit in the back corner of our garden until next Spring when we’ll feed it to our garden. It makes a mega stinky - but nutrient and microbe rich - plant food.
