I woke up early this morning to hear the crickets and watch the sky slowly brighten up and held my breath.
I remember the first week of school when my kids were small. You go from no routine, lazy mornings to having to get back into the school routine and it was hard.
Now, instead of the school routine, the calendar all of a sudden is packed and you have choices of five different things to do on the weekends and fit multiple things on the evenings of the workday.
Breathe.
Last week there were days where I didn’t know where my phone was. 3/4 of the time it wasn’t working anyways because there was no signal and it was beautiful, peaceful.
I saw things that I haven’t seen before. Like Lake Superior and Winnie the Pooh, and where that story all began.
So as we start a new school year and the fall schedule, may we remember to breathe.
Put away your phones.
Listen for the crickets. Watch the sun rise or set if you are not an early morning person.
Stop by and smell the roses.
Be kind to each other.
We are back to our regular hours of 9-5pm. Our week is full and the staff is excited to design with gorgeous blooms.
Have a great day today!
You are amazing.
