While most girls in my neighborhood dreamt of their weddings, I fantasized about a home & yard. I’ve always been interested in home décor, “yard art” & what is now called “staging”. I’ve been a collector of unique items for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been able to picture creative ways of using ordinary items. People complimented my “style” often enough that I realized it might be a tal
ent. And when friends started asking for my help with finding just the right “treasure” or idea for their homes, the idea of Antiques & Aspirations was born. I attend house sales, auctions, thrift and vintage shops, markets and bazaars (here in the Maritimes, across Canada & even Scotland) with an eye to find interesting items that will help make a house a home. I buy antiques, vintage, mid-century, and retro items and even some modern pieces that have the right amount of charm and appeal. I have a physical shop location as well where I create displays that are meant to inspire. I post photos and items for sale on my page Donna MacGregor Antiques & Aspirations and on my Antiques & Aspirations Instagram page. I ship from my home in beautiful Baddeck, Nova Scotia, Canada.
