Summer fun at TNT. New inventory has arrived. The river levels are at a normal level for this time of year with little to no current. Water temp is close to 70 degrees. This equates to great paddling on The York River. River Trip North is a great way to explore the river. A leisurely 3 hours downstream paddle.

Kawartha Nordic Ski Club celebrates year end long weekend River Trip North hosted by Trips And Trails Adventure Outfitting on The York River. Under blue skies the group had an awesome day, living life outside. The paddle ended with a BBQ and social.

The York River continues to rise from yesterdays discharge rate of 40m/sec to 55.2m/sec. The water levels have increased from 9.2m yesterday to 9.7m today. There is a strong current at TNT and water temp remain frigid. There is a scheduled power outage planned for Sunday may 7 from 8am-2pm. Hydro one is installing "smart switches"? in the power grid to better determine where power outages occur. Here is the link to the full story.

Happy spring. The York River Watershed is on the rise following a week of rain in the area. May 1st discharge level was 25.9m/ sec the level was 8.7m. Today May 3rd the discharge level has increased to 40.0m/sec and the water level is 9.3m. For the folks who live along the watershed time to get your assets high and dry once again, as the river continues to rise. Hydro one has a scheduled power outage scheduled for Sunday May 7th from 8am -2pm. Bad planning for that. So make plans if you rely on a sump pump to keep your basement dry. Heads up and live life outside.

April 25th York River update. Looks like The River is well back in its banks with a 9.1m level reduced from Aprill 22- 9.6m level. Discharge rates have also reduced from 64.0m/sec to 36.2m/sec. This is great news for people along the watershed. Paddling is clear from Egan Chutes through to the Boulter Road bridge. However some of the portages have trees down. "Live Life Outside"

April 22nd The York River at TNT has dropped significantly since yesterday. from 10.2m to 6.2m The discharge rate was 74.7m/sec and today is 64.0m/sec. This is good news for all along the watershed. Most of the areas lakes are ice free and spring Lake Trout Fishing will be bringing anglers to the area. At TNT we are already renting Canoes for spring fishing.
