There’s something about fresh antler scrapes deep in the timber that still hits the soul the same way every time.
A quiet reminder that hard country, long days, and wild places still hold meaning.

Hunting has never just been about filling a tag.
It’s about the people you meet along the way — the ones willing to sleep in the cold, hike one more ridge, shake your hand at the trailhead, and share stories around a fire after dark. Good people chasing something real.

The best things in life usually ask for risk.
Risking comfort. Risking failure. Pushing farther into the mountains, farther into opportunity, and farther into the life you know you’re capable of building.

That mindset is exactly why AfterShot was created.
Built for hunters who refuse to quit when the trail gets tough. Designed to help reveal difficult blood trails and support ethical game recovery when every drop matters.

Because the reward feels different when you earned it the hard way.

Find it. Finish it.
Built for Blood Trails. Engineered by Hunters.

After work supper with a view—no restaurant could ever match it.

Just fresh air, a hard-earned meal, and a landscape that makes you slow down and take it all in.

The real impact of what we choose to harvest.

A cow moose isn’t just another animal in the bush — she’s the future of that entire area. One cow can produce calves year after year, sometimes even twins when conditions are right. Take her out, and you’re not just removing one animal… you’re potentially removing generations.

Now compare that to a bull.
A mature bull has already done his job. One bull can breed multiple cows in a season. Harvesting a bull, especially an older one past his prime, has far less impact on the overall population.

That’s the kind of thinking that separates hunting… from true stewardship.

It’s not always about what’s easiest.
It’s about what’s right for the land, the animals, and the future of the hunt.

And when that moment comes — when you’ve made the right call, taken the right shot — you owe it to that animal to recover it.

That’s where AfterShot comes in.

Because even the best shots don’t always leave an easy trail.
AfterShot helps reveal what your eyes can’t see — turning uncertainty into confidence, and making sure no animal is lost to the bush.

Respect the animal.
Protect the future.
Recover what you harvest.

There’s something powerful about hearing a wolf howl echo through the mountains. It’s a reminder that the wilderness is still truly wild.

Wolves live by instinct, loyalty to the pack, and the hard rules of survival. Tough, intelligent, and perfectly built for the wild places they roam.

Moments like that are why we go out there. To experience the raw, untamed world.

🐺 Respect the wild. Respect the hunt.

I had an interesting conversation today with a trapper in the mountains of southern British Columbia.

He told me about a wolf he had trapped recently. When he checked his trail cam later, the footage showed something none of us expected — a grizzly bear had already come out of hibernation and showed up to claim the wolf for an easy meal.

Pretty surprising to see bears awake and moving around already in March.

Just another reminder that in the mountains, nature is always doing its own thing — and it doesn’t always follow the calendar.
