🌈🐑 our Wormhole DK (one of our top favourite bases of all time!) is included in our Augtober sale that’s happening in store and online until end of day this Sunday. You can choose from 20 gram mini skeins, 50 gram and full size skeins that come in a full rainbow of tonals! Wormhole DK is 100% non superwash Peruvian Highland Wool and we adore using it for both knitting and crochet projects. Both of our granny square cardigans are made with this yarn! This post shows our 50 gram skein tonals. We also have over thirty tonals available on our individual 20 gram mini skeins ✨

☀️🍂 Augtober is when the temperatures in August start to feel more like temperatures you would typically experience in October. When we came across this term, we realized it perfectly describes how happy we’ve been feeling with the cooler weather with this week! Which then got us thinking about fall projects to start!

We then thought it would be fun to have a sale in case anyone is interested in larger quantities of yarn for sweaters and shawls or maybe a skein or two for mittens and hats. We’re offering 15% off Full Moon Fibres yarn & 10% off Jessica project bags (excluding the new Catch of the Day fish bags).

Our Augtober sale runs until this Sunday, August 23rd at 11:59pm ET. The discounts will be automatically applied to applicable items when they are added to your cart. These discounts will also be available on applicable items in store until this Sunday at closing.

🧶 we have unfortunately closed our shipping to the US at this time because we are unsure about the current tariff situation this week. Once we know more, we hope to be able to reopen shipping. ⛅️ it’s a bit gloomy out but these colours are sure to bring some fun into your making! We’ve got fall colours, garden colours, deep & moody colours and some with bright colour pops in the shop. Our yarn for dyeing delivery just came today so we’re looking forward to dyeing up lots of colours for the upcoming seasons and shows!

✨ we have an FO!! I finally finished my crochet cardigan, just in time to wear this Sunday to Kim’s book signing! Kim McBrien Evans 🇨🇦 🎉 it’s currently blocking and drying with just a teeny tiny little amount of ends to weave in! YAY!

I’m so excited to wear it this weekend after envisioning it for the past few months. It was such a fun project using our BFL Fi*****ng with full skeins of Ghosted and New Moon. All of the colour pops are our BFL Fi*****ng mini skeins, some are the leftovers from my Chapter Shawl (which is 97.935% done!). In these photos I just had the collar to finish which I did yesterday 🤩

Friendly reminder that the shop will be CLOSED this Sunday, August 16th as we’ll be in Haliburton for the book launch. Maybe we’ll see you there?

🧡🐙 appreciation post for the always stunning yarn dyed by Paula Paula 🤩 we mentioned in one of our last posts about how we have been fans of Paula and her yarn for a long time and these socks are an example of that! I’m pretty sure I finished these socks before 2020 and they still remain my absolute favourite pair!!

It’s a pair of vanilla socks but with Paula’s yarn, the project is never actually vanilla, it’s full of vibrant, changing colour pops! Sometimes the colours are more saturated and sometimes they’re a mix of different speckles. Either way, your project is always unique and special 🧡🧶

We are down to just a few of the full size Frankencakes left! We have loved having them in our shop and we’re so glad many of you are going to be making with them soon. You can find the remaining cakes under our “New to the Shop” section on our website or come by our store in person to check them out and see some of our samples too 😊

All of these just had to be photographed with our Frankencake Twin sets from Orange Octopus that we have in the shop (well, there’s one set left!) and they’re all perfect for summer!

🤩 the cutest little Frankencake Twin sets are now available online and at our shop! We have five different sets that are perfect for a matching pair of socks or a larger project like a crochet scarf held double with mohair…that was oddly specific! Maybe that’s the sample at the end of this post?! 🧶 no matter what you choose to make, this yarn will ensure it’s a super fun project!

Hello! Our SALE section in the shop is now full again! We’ve added Solar sock tubes, some shawl kits, new sock blank colours and more to our library cart. All discounted prices are marked. Many of the new items are only available in store! If you’re online, you can find our discounted yarn under the “Sale” and “Limited Bases” sections on our website.

Good morning! ☀️ we received a very exciting shipment of yarn to the shop yesterday from our friend Paula Paula and you wouldn’t believe how quickly we unpacked the box and made our feature table!! I should have timed it!

We have been dedicated FANS of Paula’s yarn dyeing for probably a decade now and to have her yarn in our shop is a big deal for us!! 🧡🐙

Paula dyes lots of beautiful yarn and our favourite is her “Frankencakes” which are always one of a kind blends of colours to make really fun gradient cakes. We love how enjoyable these cakes are to knit and crochet with. We’ve made socks, shawls, scarves and have many ideas for future projects! The crochet granny shawl in the photos is made with one cake! No leftovers, I just ended the shawl when I ran out of yarn ✨

The gorgeous cakes are currently only available in store for this weekend! We will add what’s left to our online shop later this coming week. If you see a cake in the photos that you’re interested in and you would like us to hold it for you, please send us message 😊 the frankencakes are 80% SW Merino/20% Nylon and 115 grams.

The twin cakes in plastic bags are super fun for matching socks! I used one set to make a crochet scarf that I will share soon once I photograph it but you can see it at the shop this weekend.
