Our tourist goodies have been flying this summer but this one is a little different. Not really a tourist goodie, but a nod to all of the Barrie die-hards who love it here. Those of us who adore downtown, live for a dip in Lake Simcoe (in all seasons!) and who embrace this weird and wonderful parts of living in this little city by The Bay. To all the keyboard warriors & negative Nancys, take your Eeyore energy somewhere else, we hear Oshawa is lovely! (No real shade to The ‘Shwa, we had to pick a place!) Community only works if we all work together. We’ve chosen to be cheerleaders for downtown Barrie because this is a community we believe in. Complaining and avoiding is really bummer behaviour. This needs to be addressed because it’s becoming more of an issue at our shop. Stealing from small businesses (other than being incredibly bad juju) hurts the local economy. And it hurts our feelings. If you feel inclined to steal, may we suggest stealing from a giant corporation and not the little guys? Plus, Grandpa Mouse is watching out for thieves and if he catches you stealing, he will be very disappointed in you. Make good choices people.
