Hard at work around here prepping for the Moonfolk Olde Fashioned Christmas Market on Nov 17th-- mushroom frames and scrappy ornaments and reindeer antlers hair clips and elf hats will all be at the Dorian Parker centre at Sunnidale Park from 5-9pm. Come by and say hello, I made more sockbears just for you.

I have a confession.

I've been hiding from you.

You see, I have these kids who are lovely and A LOT, and I have this cool project that ate up a chunk of the summer, and then what I thought was pandemic burnout turned out to be a cardiac tumour I had to die a little bit to forcibly evict, and before I knew it I hadn't posted in like a YEAR even though I was still making things.

So, two things:

1) I apologize. I'll try not to do it again.
2) I'm fixing it.

I'm doing THREE CRAFT SHOWS between now and December--three different occasions you can come see me in meatworld for real life, and see the ridiculous new things I've been up to. (Over the pandemic I picked up a bit of sculpting, and linocut stamps, and...)

At MEWSFEST, Oct 30th at the Spare Room on Lakeshore Mews, I'll have all the usual plus Halloween-y stuff (including some handmade kids' costumes!)

At the Moonfolk Olde Fashioned Christmas Market on Nov 17th, I'll have all the usual whimsy and nonsense plus some winter-holiday-specific stuff!

And at the Cundles Heights Craft Sale on Nov 19th, I'll have the Christmassy stuff AND free native plant winter sowing kits through !
..between now and then I'll be working my hands raw. 🎉😅😘💜

I've been quiet lately! Working, in the middle of the longest protracted disaster of a life full of protracted disasters (😅), with two young kids who do GREAT tsunami impressions, has all proven really challenging to productivity--and every time I post, it reminds someone they might want something. Did you know I'm terrible at saying no, because I am TERRIBLE AT SAYING NO. So instead of posting the things I've been crafting and baking and ruining any attempt at a clean house with, I've been sneaking around about it, running my glue gun and Mr. Stabby under a blanket with the light off, so to speak. Because I'm trying not to take orders right now.

But I'm also trying to get back on the horse for after Halloween! Watch this space, with patience please--i wish I could share this chocolate whiskey pecan pie with you. 💜
