Books On Main We are an indie bookstore located in Bath's historic downtown. The Lodge Coffee House is on-site with all your fav drinks and goodies.

We have a little bit of everything: bestsellers, fiction, non-fiction, kids, used, puzzles, boardgames, totes, & more!

My First Baby Signs helps guide you through the process of signing with your baby. It gives you the first fundamentals signs, teaches you how to do incorporate it into your life, and outlines what you can expect at each stage.

My First Baby Signs is written by Lee Ann Steyns and illustrated by Julia Seal, and is meant for babies even as young as two months old!

We're giving away FREE tickets to see Practical Magic 2 in theatres! 🕯️🎫🍿

Landmark Cinemas has partnered with CIBA (the Canadian Independent Bookstore Association) to present the Popcorn & Pages program, encouraging movie goers to support local bookstores by reading the source texts of their screen adaptations. We've been lucky enough to be part of this promotion for Practical Magic 2!

Pop on by this weekend and fill out your ballot when you purchase with us September 5th-6th. We will draw three winners, who will each receive:
- x2 general admission tickets
- x2 medium popcorns
- x2 medium drinks

NOW ENTERING: Calendar and planner territory. 📅

Believe it or not, bookstores often order next year's calendars as early as May or June, but September finally feels like a socially acceptable time to acknowledge that 2027 is on the horizon!

We've got calendars (both wall, desk, and page-a-day), planners (including 16-month ones that start this month!), and have restocked on other stationary goodies. We have pastel highlighters, some gorgeous sticker books, some art sketchbooks, and are back in stock with flash cards.

The Fall 2026 Booksellers' List was just announced by IndieBookstores.ca yesterday! What better way to discover books than have them recommended to you by Canadian indie booksellers?

🚶🏾‍♀️Women, Walking includes a piece written by our bookish friend and fellow local indie bookstore owner, Lindsay of The Wandering Albatross!
✒️ You can catch Colin McAdam, Jody Wilson-Raybould, and Roshan Danesh all at Kingston WritersFest events next month.

I'm also personally excited to read Exit Party by Emily St. John Mandel, and The Sorceress of Sky Serpents by Eden Robinson sounds like exactly the kind of indigenous fantasy I've been waiting for.
