The Man Behind the Business
For those who don’t know me, I grew up and was raised right here in Bay Roberts. I’m a father of three young kids, I love music and sports, I’m passionate about helping coach soccer, love hiking, being outdoors and spending time with my family.
I’ve also always been a lover of all things vintage as well as rare collectibles, especially vinyl records! I’ve collected, bought, sold and loved vinyl for years and years. There’s something about finding a record you love and the sound of it playing on the turntable.
My love for vintage goes back years. I’ve always loved that feeling you get when you stumble across something special - something you remember from childhood, something you haven’t seen in years, or a collectible you never expected to find. That sense of nostalgia.
Now let me tell you a little about why I wanted to open a vintage and collectibles store.
First and foremost I believe in reusing and buying second-hand so that I can give things a second life. There are so many incredible items that still have years of life left in them that might otherwise end up sitting unused or eventually in a landfill.
I love the idea of taking something that someone no longer wants or needs and finding someone who will appreciate it again. Whether it’s a vintage toy, a piece of furniture, a record, a book, a collectible or something completely unexpected.
Buying second-hand also gives people the opportunity to own things they might not otherwise be able to afford. Sometimes you can find something that was once expensive or considered high-value for a fraction of what it originally cost, simply because it has been pre-owned.
To me, that’s one of the best things about second-hand shopping. You can find something genuinely special without having to spend a fortune.
wanted to create a place where other people could experience that same feeling I’ve always had when finding something amazing — that excitement and nostalgia.
But I also wanted it to be more than just a store.
I want this to be a space where everyone feels welcome — regardless of their background, culture, identity or neurodiversity. A place where people can take their time, browse, talk about the things they love, listen to music, reminisce, discover something new, or simply spend some time surrounded by things that make them happy.
I believe vintage and collectibles have a way of bringing people together.
A record can spark a memory. An old toy can take you straight back to childhood. A piece of glassware can remind you of your grandmother’s kitchen. A sports collectible can bring back the excitement of being a kid.
That feeling is what I want to share.
Opening this store has been a leap of faith, and I’m building it one treasure at a time. Some days are busy, some are quiet, but every person who walks through the door and gets that little spark of excitement when they find something special reminds me why I started.
So when you shop here, you’re not just buying something old. You’re giving something a second life, keeping usable items out of landfills, creating new memories, finding incredible things at affordable prices, and supporting a local small business.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, shared a post, stopped by, made a purchase, told a friend, or simply encouraged me along the way.
I’m so excited to see where this little dream goes.
Come in, stay awhile, turn up the music, and see what you can find!
