Also... crochet head wraps are now in the shop AND go towards the genetic disease foundations Know Your Genes program charity program I am currently running on all crochet winter items! There are 3 new Know Your Gene Beanies up in the shop now! One third of all proceeds will be doing to the Genetic Disease Foundations informative program. All the orders and support so far for this campaign is so beautiful, thank you all so much! If you were looking for a beanie but came after I was sold out- I will be adding more and more to the shop everyday. So... WOW! I woke up this morning and I was all sold out of beanies already (more coming tonight)! Thank you guys so much for your love and support- it’s seriously has my heart singing. Here is another product shoot Marvin decided to ruin because he craved attention. He thought it was ok though because he brought his toy with him so I knew what to do once he got my attention. What a freak. Thank you again everyone for all your ❤️

They are here 🍂 Know Your Genes crochet beanies! Why ‘know your genes’ you ask? Just because I am taking a break from starting the next step in my education does not mean I am taking a break from making a difference in the field I am incredibly passionate about. One third of all proceeds from the winter accessories collection (more to come soon) will go to the Genetic Disease Foundation for programs they run such as Know Your Genes- an informative program whose initiative is to provide the resources needed to connect with healthcare professionals and programs that can take care of your genetic health. Did you know that genetic disease is responsible for 30-40% of all chronic illnesses (NCBI, 2016)? This includes various types of cancers, developmental diseases and all other kinds of metabolic and immune disorders. And did you know we have genetic testing m (yes, even through OHIP) that can help you determine your risks and potential prevention programs? If the answer is no, please visit http://www.geneticdiseasefoundation.org/. I hope someday to be a certified genetic counsellor that can help patients around the world take back control over their health and wellness. Any support or sharing for this post would be so so appreciated. This is a cause I genuinely believe has the power to change lives and I hope my little community here on Solace Ivy can help me do just that! Cheers and happy Monday to all!
