provides a natural oasis for birds and bird feeding enthusiasts alike. In addition to our quality feeders and seed mixes we carry all the accessories to complete your bird feeding experience.

This is a busy time for our feathered friends .
This pair of Hairy woodpeckers have made their own home . It is amazing how perfect the entrance is. My daughter watched them come and go from there campsite at Point farms.
The chickadees have used this nest box again this year.
The House Wrens have been checking out this house for a couple of weeks . I think they have finally decided to move in.

The return of the summer visitors has been slow here. We have White-crown and White-throated sparrows moving through . A second pair of Bluebirds checking out housing in the yard. Today we welcomed Male Baltimore orioles ,Male and Female Rose-breasted grosbeaks and a male Indigo bunting. Still to appear hummingbirds and female Orioles.

Today l was able to get a pic of the female Bluebird as they both foraged in the lawn. The third pic is of Dad with a large grub.

It was a nice surprise to see two sky blue eggs in a nest box today . Blue birds are setting up house in the yard. She will probably lay 2 or 3 more eggs before taking up full time residence. I was only able to get a pic of Dad today.

The yard was very busy today . A lot of Goldfinch's their yellow is becoming more intense. Purple finches and Blue jays were busy at the feeders and the Chipping Sparrows have returned for the summer.

The Goldfinches are showing more yellow these days. We had Pine warblers and Northern flickers passing through. Nice to see the change.

The Tundra Swans have returned to Greenway drive just behind the Lambton county museum today. We also stopped in at the Pinery to feed the chickadee's

Well it is starting to feel a lot more like Spring.
I am seeing a lower volume of birds at the feeders. Now that it is a little warmer and less snow there is not the need to fuel up as often and more options to forage. This morning it was really quiet. When l looked out the front door of the shop I saw the reason why perched on the rail fence. Last Friday this black dude showed up . He is gone now but it won't be long before the rest of the troop arrives.

We had a lot of woodpeckers a Bluejay and Carolina wren at the peanut and suet feeders on this cold windy day.
