The outline of this butterfly is from the previously posted card. I adhered onto a circle and made another butterfly cut, gluing the pieces into the wings. I added rhinestones and stamped a sentiment underneath.

Rich Razzleberry is an old Stampin Up colour that’s been one of my faves for years. Here I used the Crafty Canuck butterfly die and cut out a white outline and then cut out one in RR patterned paper. These pieces I glued into the outline.
The tag is Simply Stated Design, I was pleased that the colours went together, as did the nature motif.
The sentiment is simple and I added a thick white twine through the tag top.

Pinspired:
The card posted on Pinterest was done in red, but I chose yellow because I don’t use it very often. The stamp set and punch is from SU, one I was searching for for quite some time.
While it looks like a lot of elements it was quite easy to make.
It would also be easy to make it CAS (clean and simple) simply by removing the two vases on the right.

Part of my Simply Stated Design purchase at the scrapbook carnival included an envelope of random prints. This raccoon was tucked away in the midst.
I die cut it to give it a torn edge look. Being a darker image I decided to use my white paint marker to highlight the edge. I also added some white highlights to the raccoon.
The sentiment was heat embossed in white, die cut, and again I used the white marker to trace the outline.

Here’s a card that uses some of the items I purchased at the Great Canadian Scrapbook Carnival. If you buy it, you’ve got to use it right?
The frame/opening and butterfly dies are from Crafty Canuck (happy to support a Canadian business!) and the image paper is Simply Stated Design (another Canadian business).
After cutting the opening, keep the solid piece for another card. I stamped the sentiment before adding the dimensionals and adhering to the base. I added some rhinestones and the butterfly.
Quick and simple!

It’s possible this CAS (clean and simple) card was Pinspired but I can’t say for sure.
I used a fancy ruler to tear two sides of scrap paper which I then adhered temporarily to the card mat.
The next step was choosing ink colours and blending brushes to blend an ink strip. Maybe different colours next time 🤔
Anyway, then I chose a simple sentiment, stamped, added some rhinestones, and a heart that was on my desk.

This card feels a bit flat but I’ll share it anyway. I was playing around with inking embossed backgrounds and had this extra piece that I decided to not ink. I just couldn’t commit to it!
Plus I tried out a new to me stamp and punch set which I feel hasn’t been used to its full potential here. There’s more experimenting to be done, for sure.

How cute is this little scene I created on a small postage die (by Aall & Create) cut?
The mini houses are Gummiapan and the trees and clouds are an old SU stamp set. It was a bit fiddly to place a background behind each house but worth it. The sentiment is from a generic set. I added ribbon and a rhinestone.

I wasn’t really planning on posting this card because it’s not great. It’s made from things sitting around my workspace and a new stencil I found in a kit.
Why I’m sharing this card is because of a tip or trick that may be helpful to other card makers.
When it comes to unbranded or lower tier brand photopolymer (clear) stamps you may find the quality a bit poor. Somewhere along the way I’d read a comment that if you very lightly sand the new stamp it will help improve ink transfer.
I gave it a try and I can see a difference in ink to paper transference. Can you see the difference?

Last week I suggested to a friend that maybe we can get together soonish and create. She agreed but I thought I’d be waiting a couple weeks. Instead she quite quickly suggested Saturday.
I’d already had this page and its elements cut out and ready for assembly but hadn’t the time or energy or I created other things in its stead.
On Saturday I packed it all up with some other supplies and went to create with my friend. It was a lovely time!
“Thalassophile” is the title, and other than the backwards “s” I think the page is decent.
