To our loyal customers, vendors, and community,
It has been with great thought and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to close Simcoe Street Market indefinitely. We are immensely proud of the journey we've shared with all of you, navigating through the highs and lows throughout the past 6 years.
Our deepest gratitude goes to our amazing staff for their dedication and hard work. They have been the face of the market and we couldn’t have run the store without them.
We are equally thankful to the talented artisans who trusted us and believed in us to represent them and their businesses in our community, giving all of our loyal customers access to some of their wonderful products.
A business cannot exist without customers. So thank you to the many loyal customers who have visited the market and purchased items regularly, who have praised us publicly, and encouraged their families, friends, and acquaintances to shop at our store. We couldn’t have lasted this long without your financial support.
And finally, a thank you and kudos to all the downtown businesses and their owners who continue to invest themselves in their communities physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially to give the downtown district a centre for the type of face-to-face, personable commerce that has been enjoyed socially by people for hundreds of years. We have nothing but respect for all of you and are sad we have to leave.
While this chapter is coming to an end, we are excited about the new adventures ahead. We hope that our departure will open the doors for individuals looking to bring the downtown area fresh new business ideas and/or create better future prospects for the existing businesses.
We will remain open for now until the middle of July at a minimum and will be depleting inventory and selling off some products with discounts offered by specific vendors until then. So come in and see us for one last time if you’re able.
