We about to get real with this post.
As I sit here, spending countless hours working on items to bring to my upcoming market.. I'm reflecting.
I'm reflecting on how damn hard it is to run a small business. From making content to posting content to trying to stay current with the trends to figuring out the never-ending Instagram algorithm to doing supplier research to make sure your customers can get the best product for the most reasonable price. This doesn't even include actually making any of the product. It's hard.
Some may ask, well why do you still do it? I'll tell you.. for those times where my small little shop item is given to someone and it makes their day, being apart of a pregnancy announcement or retirement or even a milestone birthday. Or how about those really tough times where a family member has purchased memorial ornaments for their family to remember those who are no longer with us. That's why I do it. It warms my heart and fills my cup.
If you've read this far, thank you for coming to my Ted talk. Please shop small. I know Amazon ships quicker, maybe offers a bit cheaper price but I'm telling you .. Amazon will never feel the satisfaction that a small business owner does when they get that email when someone has placed an order.
